NPTEL April exams - New exam dates announced

Dear SPOCs,

NPTEL April exams will now be conducted on August 8th and 19th.

These exams will be conducted in person at the exam centres.

We have sent the following email to all learners with all details.

Requesting you to alert your students & faculty about the same.

Dear learner,

Hope you are staying safe and healthy in these difficult times.

NPTEL exams scheduled to be conducted on 24/25 April 2021 were postponed due to the pandemic. But with conditions getting better, we have now decided to conduct these postponed exams in the month of August, 2021.

Mode of exams

Learners have to come to exam centres and take the in-person exams.

All Covid regulations will be followed at the exam centres as per government guidelines.

Certificates earned after giving these in-person exams alone will be counted towards the Domain and other NPTEL star categories and also for AICTE-FDP programmes.

Option to change exam city

You may fill this form and choose your exam cities.

After this form is closed, 80% of the exam fees which you had paid will be refunded within 3 to 4 weeks.

What if I want to write one exam and cancel the other?

That option will also be available in the form. You may choose to write certain exams and cancel and opt for a refund for the remaining exams.

Those who had applied for Modified Pass Certificate and want to write the in-person exams

You may also opt to write the in-person exams. If you pass the exam based on our criteria, regular NPTEL certificates will be issued (in addition to the Modified Pass Certificate that you have already obtained).

For those of you who are writing more than 2+ NPTEL exams on the same day  

Due to our current course allocation for the Aug 8 & 19 exam dates, if it happens that you have to write 2+ exams on the same day, do not worry! You can write 2 exams on the exam date given. For the remaining exams, we will conduct Remote Proctored exams online that you can take from your home on Aug 9/10 & Aug 20/21. We will announce further details about the additional exams in the coming days and reach out to you.
