Adding Mentors by the SPOC
The SPOC of the Local Chapter may now add your college faculty as Mentors. ‘How to add a Mentor’ is shown in the table given below.
How SPOCs can view the details of candidates enrolled from their college
SPOCs may access these details in both their SPOC logins - in SWAYAM login & LC login. Pls see details in the table shown below.
Domain Certification:
NPTEL has been giving out course level certificates since 2014 and there have been quite a few students doing multiple courses from NPTEL.
Some need guidance on what courses to take up together and also a classification of courses based on the end goal, whether it is appearing for some competitive exam or becoming job ready or specialising in an area of study.
Domains are being created in multiple disciplines (more domains will be put out as newer courses are created).
The Domain Certification helps the learner's to gain expertise in a specific Area/Domain.
Every domain will comprise Core courses and Elective courses.
This can be helpful for learners who wish to work in a particular area as part of their job or research.

NPTEL Stars:
Over the past five years, we have seen a small group of learners coming back repeatedly to NPTEL courses and completing exams with us. The “NPTEL Stars” has been initiated in 2019 to acknowledge such dedicated efforts by learners. We have looked at various meaningful ways in which such learners can take up more than one course exam in NPTEL and have identified 7 broad categories into which these Stars can be classified.
Categories: NPTEL Domain Scholar, NPTEL Superstars, NPTEL Evangelists, NPTEL Motivated Learners, NPTEL Enthusiasts, NPTEL Believers, NPTEL Discipline Stars.
