The verb that agrees with the subject of the sentence and also carries tense and aspect on it is the main verb. The main sentence is, 'Rehaan decided to bring an umbrella to the beach.' In this sentence, the main verb is 'decided' and 'bring an umbrella to the beach' is the object (decided what?) Therefore, decided is the main verb.
