Discord Server mainly consists of Text and Voice Channels in a categorized form:

1. Text Channels:
->We can make Text Channels for each subject, for texting in their respective channels.
->We have one for general Texting where you can ask any off-topic doubts.
->Discord has a quote option too, just like WhatsApp.

2. Voice Channels(can not be done in Slack)
->We can use voice channels for clearing doubts or understanding the whole topic by another student.
->We have small voice channels also where a group of 2 or 3 members can communicate with each other.
->Discord voice channels are better than skype. (You can cross-check online.)

=>Discord shows us how many members are online, which is not possible in Slack. Discord's Graphical User Interface is beautiful.

=>Discord has a lot of features like we can play music, add gaming channels with the help of Discord bots, we actually feel like we are one group of people and not doubt clearing robots like in Slack.

Con's of Discord: It does not have a thread option.

- If we want to make a student's group online, my suggestion will be to use Discord.
- If you want a group like a discussion forum, then Slack is best.
