doubt in flowchart

instead of having two decision making statements can we combine them into a single decision making statement like " more cards in pile 1 which are boys ?" and then proceed with the iteration?

Yes we can but each operation better be atomic i.e. a box shouldn't have more than two operations. 
Reason - this will make the flow complex

Therefore, it is best practice to seperate box for each operation.
