Learner Experience Interaction 4 (LxI - Week 4)

As you would have already seen, the Learner Experience Interactions and Live interactions are highly appreciated features of this course. As a course team, we have taken some orchestration decisions to make it more learner-centric. These decisions are:

For Learner Experience Interactions:

  • Inviting 7 course alumni to take part as discussion forum moderators (DFMs), 4 course alumni as direct point of contacts for these DFMs and 1 course alumni as overall DFM coordinator. These people (who were the exam toppers) are selected from previous offering of this course based of their performance and involvement in the course. For more information have a look at this course team page: https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc21_ge11/unit?unit=119&lesson=121
  • Training the new team of DFMs for the DFM task by other alumni who have acted as DFM in previous offering of this course.
  • Creating a weekly plan that will require an alumni to spend approximately 1.5 hours in a week to answer unanswered queries from the forum.
  • Taking feedback from these moderators on the important and interesting discussions in a week, reflection on their perceptions about the current participation levels etc.
  • Sharing a document on "How to navigate the forum?" as this year, we have to deal with a new graphical user interface of the Google Groups (used as the platform for Discussion forum of this course). The document can be found on this page: https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc21_ge11/unit?unit=77&lesson=163

For Live interactions:

  • Floating a Google Form to collect queries from Learners before Live interactions.
  • Including the important and interesting queries pointed out by Discussion Forum Moderators, Course TAs & Course Instructors.
  • Categorizing these queries into various dimensions to provide points for elaboration/discussion during the live interaction.
  • Having more than one person from Course Team be present (both in front and behind the screens) during live interaction.

Focus Question
Have these orchestration decisions, according to you, made better impact in your course engagement? Elaborate your answer to provide the positive and adverse impacts of these orchestration decisions in the current course. (While replying you can think of offering your own course as MOOC and think about which of these orchestration decisions will you subscribe to and why?)

For submitting your response, please open the discussion forum by clicking here and reply to this Focus Question in the same thread by clicking on "Reply All" button.

Hi Everyone...

Reflection Spot Question from Week 4 (4.4): by Gargi  Banerjee Ma'am.
>Go to the Discussion Forum & Introduce yourself: State your name, domain, where you come from.

This following LxI focus question is actually a 'Good' way to start the discussion..
>Why because Introducing yourself helps to break the ice while meeting new people or to start any heathy discussion.
It is very important to break the ice before going into any discussion, it will make other feel more comfortable & confident to meet new people.

So according to me, its a wonderful & powerful LxI focus question to stat the discussion...

Thanks

Hello Imran Amir Khan
That indeed is a very powerful focus question by Gargi  Banerjee Ma'am as a reflection spot. It's all about getting to know your peers.
But in this week 4, we would also like to know as to what do you think about the orchestration decisions that have been mentioned in this thread for LxI week 4

Hello Everyone ,
I have one doubt in Practice Questions (LbD) on LeD 4.1. In first question Discussion Threads in Forum is correct option as shown in video but in corrected answer it has not mentioned.

Hi
The orchestration decision of having toppers as moderators of discussion form is good. May be it’s like incentivising the toppers of exam. Also explaining the google groups to navigate is good and viable option

The same process will be applied next time we offer this course.. and the slots are waiting to be grabbed!!!

Are there participants who would like to nominate themselves for the posts of DFMs? Please respond to this thread.

The orchestration decisions have been very helpful. Floating the google form and collecting questions enables everyone to ask their questions.  I was impressed by the speed in which my questions were answered by the discussion facilitators , it made me feel valued and supported in my learning  journey. This is the first MOOC in my life where I felt so engaged and am actually surprised by how much I have actually learned. The social aspect of making feel students valued and having live interactions helped a lot. I would like to have a more social interaction with peers . Maybe in the discussion forum we can post 5-6 time slots per week and people can choose to join or not join these video calls that can happen over google meet and the instructors can share a format or instructions for the meetings and one of the peers can volunteer to facilitate the session. Thank you so much to the entire MOOC team , this was such a different MOOC experience , I absolutely loved it!

Hello Everyone!
Firstly I should thank the entire team of this MOOC for offering really an interesting and learner-centric MOOC.
I have learned a lot regarding the LCM model, especially the significance of Orchestration Dynamics, not just in online teaching but also in implementing this in offline teaching. Because as a novice in teaching, this course has taught me more about the importance of planning, delivering an engaging class, and also providing constant support to the learners. Further, the need for modifications or revisions (regarding the delivery or pedagogy) according to the learner's need and feedback.
So the Orchestration Dynamics decisions regarding "sharing the document on 'how to navigate the forum'" had really addressed the confusion regarding the DF; involving the previous course alumni as moderators had been the best orchestration decisions because who would know the participants and their possible difficulties better than them; lastly, the '"floating a google form" to collect queries from learners is the supreme way to establish leaner-connect and I would like to adopt this decision in my own MOOC in the future because as a learner I felt important and that increased my interest in this course when my question was answered by the instructors in the live interactions, especially on the e-platform.

I thank the whole team for providing us with such an insightful and intriguing MOOC.

Thank you.

Hi Everyone...

According to me in the orchestration decisions to create better impact in the course engagement during live interaction is,

1. Floating a Google Form to collect queries from Learners before Live interaction can be an effective way to know the involvement of learners in the course, as well as it will also push the learner who filled the form with their queries to the live interaction session.

2. Including the important & interesting queries pointed out by Discussion Forum Moderators, Course TAs & Course Instructors which can also be categorise into various dimension, which will be helpful for an healthy discussion during the live interaction session.

So, if I run my own course as MOOC in the time to come, I subscribe to above orchestration decisions…

Thanks...

Dear all,
Thank you for this wonderful MOOC experience (it is my first MOOC). There were many orchestration decisions that were there beforehand, or were implemented according to learners feedback. Knowledge of elements is not enough, the orchestration is important for engaging learners, monitor performance, see what is difficulty being faced by learners, add or modify contents , etc. So, these things were considered by this MOOC.
For my, i would consider the following for orchestration:
- discussion forum moderators, and feedback to learners at least every day
- Monitoring learners feedback, engagement
providing extra videos, or sources if they face difficulties. Sometimes videos or image based sources are easier to understand
- provide google form prior to live interactions, or have the moderators collect questions from learners
- provide surveys before the course to learn about learners first(their diversity) and if necessary modify some content delivery or revise course plan, etc
This is all i can think of now. Will write when i can think of anything more.
Thank you very much.

Hello to all,

Orchestration to the LCM elements is really an important aspect as discussed in week 4 "Creating LxI and Orchestration". I found the following orchestration idea interesting -

1. The concept of "learner connect" was quite interesting for me. At the beginning of the MOOC, understanding the diversity of learners enrolling in the MOOCs helps the course instructor to design/modify the course content in such a way so as to address all learners evenly despite them being for different age group/ Profession/background knowledge. This also increases learner's engagement and makes learner ready for the course. Indeed, this concept is tedious for a course instructor who is designing the complete course by himself, as it requires a whole team of teaching assistants and other people to help. But overall, the idea is up to the mark.

2. During the course, another concept of 'analyzing their performances via practice quizzes every week'  also help the course instructor to understand the difficulties faced by learners in understanding a particular topic or concept. This drives the course instructor for continuous improvement in the course by providing solutions in form of LxTs or LxIs on the problem areas/muddy points or by adding LbD activities and addressing the problems of the learner in an engaging and lucid way.

I would like to orchestrate my future MOOCs by using both these techniques.

Thanks

The prompt reply made by discussion forum moderators make the learner engaged.
But as I am doing three other nptel courses simultaneously, watching videos and doing assignments along with regular college activities,
it was difficult to reply in time.

Live interactions provides positive impact to the learner.  My questions will be answered.
This is not found in 8 weeks or 12 weeks courses that I attend/attended.

When I offer my MOOC course, I will collect feedback to study the student background, provide feedback for LbD's, reply to in discussion forums, offer live sessions and follow all the activities as explained in this course.

Thank you

Dear All,

No doubt, the orchestration decisions have made better impact on my course engagement. It is a great idea to use  google form to collect questions that enables everyone to participate and post their queries.  I would like to appreciate the  discussion facilitators  to be very prompt in answering. In this MOOC course I found myself fully engaged which helped me in learning.
Orchestration decisions sharing the document on 'how to navigate the forum'" has answered many queries related to discussion forum.  Involvement of  the previous course alumni as moderators must have been a learning experience for them too.  I would like to adopt this decision in my own MOOC.
I would like to thank the entire MOOC team for providing such an insightful MOOC.

Dear All,

The positive impacts of the orchestration decisions :
1. Continued learning / newer perspectives for the new DFMs
2. Recall and applying what has been learnt previously in the next course where they are moderating creates an immediate space where they can apply what has been learnt.
3. Live interactions are tailor-made - responding to the questions submitted by the learners and thus can be a very focused session.
4. Having more than one person from the course team enables to tackle the multiple issues ( streaming, time-keeping, interactions, etc) efficiently.

The negative impacts are:
1. The discussion threads become too long as DFMs feel obligated to respond to each post.
2. Labelling a thread is nobody's baby in this particular course. maybe an effect of too many DFMs.
3. Without a timeline - especially closure - for a discussion thread, it becomes obstructive at times to move onto other topics.

Regards
Rams.

As you'll have rightly observed, the various Orchestration strategies mentioned play a big role in establishing learner connect and fostering learner centricity . Orchestration although vital to a learner centric MOOC is not easy to set in place and often requires multiple hands. It also brings with it its own set of inconveniences as outlined by Rams. I am sure most of you'll will agree' that the benefits outweigh the disadvantages, yet we must think of creative ways to diminish the negative impact of Orchestration.

Looking forward to concrete suggestions from you all in this regard...

Wonderful to hear that you are interested in taking on the responsibility of a DFM. The Orchestration decisions and their implementation until now would have demonstrated the importance of this important aspect of a Learner Centric MOOC. And what better way to gain deeper insights than to actively participate in the Forum as a DFM?

Hope to see more takers for the DFM post...Any one else interested, do let us know if you wish to join the team next year.

First of all, I personally liked the term Orchestration. It denotes the meaning and the analogy of orchestra has given a clear impression about how to get all the elements and team together to get a desired outcome. This concept of orchestration is certainly useful while doing academic planning for offline lectures. I struggled a lot for making my Online academic planning workable. I strongly feel that orchestration brings harmony that leads to teaching-learning in a smooth manner. Also it makes the learning enjoyable.
Let me express my thanks to DFM because I asked different questions which were answered promptly. Also whenever I experienced some kind of obstacle in understanding, it was removed by giving clear messages, clear answers. I feel, the DFMs have done handholding throughout the MOOC and this is result of your orchestration decisions. Those who have undergone the MOOC themselves can better understand the peers and can lead them, assist them in a friendly manner.
Also the document on 'how to navigate the forum' helped me especially to delete my message. In a hurry, I tried to do something and by mistake I could not perform the required action. So with out giving a second thought, I expressed myself. After few minutes, I could find that the system works well, it was me who fumbled. I wanted to delete the post, so the document gave a handy tip and saved me from embarrassment. So yes, teachers/ instructors need to think about psychology of their learners. This comes from your efforts and vision of orchestration.
Live interaction seeking queries, classifying those and presenting most asked ones is a good idea to engage your learners. As my peer Ms. Jyoce has expressed, when queries raised by her was selected and answered during live interaction, she appreciated that. It gives a feeling as if you are rewarded or your efforts, your interest has been recognised. I call this as a binding effect of your orchestration.
Now I have realised, that when I would go in for creating my own MOOC (not immediately but most probably in a year's time or a two) I need to be a good conductor for ensuring perfect orchestration to create a learning melody for my learners.....
I must thank the whole team for giving us an enjoyable learning opportunity and opening an Alibaba's cave. A proper care has been taken for showing us the path through that cave guiding us properly so that the newcomers  will not falter or hesitate in going ahead.
regards
Gauri

Dear All

Orchestration decisions have made beautiful impact in course engagement.

Better Learner Connect from start to end of the course was done by Instructors, TA's and DFMs.

DFMs instantly respond to the threads given by the learners and also fruitful discussion was made by peers, DFM and Instructor. As a result, learners are benefited from this course due to such nice orchestration was made and implemented throughout the course.

My experience in this course is that, I asked a question in the discussion forum in LxI_Week_ 2. In the live interaction on 29 January 2021, the said question is posed and discussed in detail. That live interaction cleared my doubt and I am satisfied from the said discussion.

Next, I have answered the focus question asked in LxI_Week_3, On this answer to focus question instantly DFM Pose the nice and positive feedback to me on the answer. Also Dr. Sameer sir reply on same thread. So, this is nice orchestration made by the LCM Team.

I have attaching the file contains orchestration decision made by this course if anything is missing then mention it.

Thank You

Dear All
The orchestration decisions in the present course such as appointing discussion forum moderators to create active learner participation in discussion forums and attend to queries of learners is a good decision as helps in personal attention to the queries of learners.  The other method of collecting queries before live interactions is also an effective way to increase teacher- learner connection.
Postive impact:
  • Personal attention to Learner
  • Learner engagement
  • Learner retention
  • Increased participation in discussion forums

Negative Impact (in view of course developer):

Arrangement of dedicated DFM is a tedious task for new course developers
Addressing queries of all learners is time consuming

Hello everyone!

Thank you to the MOOC team for the excellent orchestration dynamics throughout the course. All the orchestration decisions have definitely made a good impact on my course engagement. Having alumni as DFMs, as rightly pointed by Dr. Sreedevi Sarsan, is an encouragement to the new learners to actively participate in the discussion forums and give their opinions. I really appreciate the efforts of the DFMs in coordinating and ensuring that the discussions always revolve around the focus question or key takeaways. I am amazed to know that there is a weekly plan for the same.

The document on 'how to navigate the forum?' has been beneficial to me. The document has saved me from wasting my time trying to find a discussion thread, a few times. It is also interesting to know that this document has saved one of my peers from embarrassment.

Anyway, if I am to offer a MOOC, I will definitely float a google form to collect learners' doubts and to get a pulse on those topics that were difficult for them to understand. Addressing the queries during live interaction will help the learners to connect with the instructor. As I can gather from the previous posts, many of my peers have already been benefitted from the personal attention they received during the live interactions.

Also, I would like to suggest that the setting 'reply to the author' be enabled in this google group. At times, I find the posts to be discontinuous. The responses from the DFMs or peers are often a few posts far from the original post. Enabling 'reply to author' can make discussions more active. This is just a suggestion.

Thanks and regards
Siddhi

Dear all,

Inviting 7 course alumni to take part as DFMs, 4 course alumni as Direct point of contact and 1 course alumni as DFM Coordinator are useful for helping and engaging the participants to be participative in the forum. Live interaction is also a good method to increase teacher-learner connect and using Padlet in live interaction is interesting. Although I joined late in the live  interaction, I myself use padlet a lot to interact with my students. Using Google forms for collecting queries is good idea. This is one of the best MOOCs I have attended so far.

Thank you.

Dear Team

It is, indeed, opportune that the focus question of week 4 brings the spotlight on orchestration dynamics in a MOOC. As we move towards the finishing line, we are now not only better able to discern the various components of a learner-centric MOOC (as the current one), but at the same time we can, to some extent, even comprehend the course mechanics as well as all the underlying operational synergies.

To start with, my answer to the Focus Question is ‘Yes’. The various orchestration decisions taken during the course were definitely steps in establishing and improving learner connect.

The selection of DFMs, their training, and the vital role which they played throughout (in front of the camera – because of their uphill task of perpetually solving queries, plus forever spinning the conversation threads; and behind-the-scenes – framing questions, tracking performances, discussing, sharing, planning, etc.) is a commendable orchestration decision. Furthermore, the involvement of the alumni was a big encouragement for the participants.

The DFMs and other co-instructors act like seven horses of the Sun who draw the chariot forward with all their might and coactions. However, the reins of the horses are in the hands of the team leaders who, through orchestration, can manage complex tasks and workflows, along with strategizing and organizing.

Further, providing instructions to participants with all possible details is another example of good orchestration as followed in this MOOC (even how to navigate the forum and post message). Taking feedbacks, collecting and resolving problems, and classifying those under various heads are also important facets of orchestration.

Moreover, the LxIs and live interaction sessions which were conducted during this particular course provided immense support to the learners. In addition, the instructors were overtly open to suggestions and the content was expanded, answers revised, dates extended, subject augmented, and requests heeded to during the past few weeks. All this would not have been possible without an efficient orchestration.

The other participants have already shared their observations and I noticed that most of us share the same opinions. Rams (rams.s...@gmail.com) has even pointed out some of the negative impacts of these orchestration decisions though I do not agree with my peer on the first point. The threads are long and will be long considering the scale of the course – which is MASSIVE. So, it really cannot be helped, unless some decision is taken to provide an in-built upper limit to the threads (however, I am not sure if it is possible or not). For all that I know, the objection appeared somewhat feeble.

To summarize, all the above-mentioned orchestration decisions were fruitful as they helped the engagement and concentration levels of learners (of course that includes me). We felt as if we are present “there” or the instructors are present “here”. The sense of being abandoned was absolutely missing, courtesy the basic design of the course.

I thank the entire team for their efforts and co-operation. It was great learning and I congratulate the team for their designing, diligence, and decision-making.

Orchestration decision is very useful in assuring learner participation . The idea of inviting alunmi's in DFM and trining new DFM are good idea it encourages the learners and ofcotse it is a motivation to the learners. Floating Google form is really a good idea because every body will get a chance to ask question.
I have completed almost 10 MOOCs but this couse is a unique one . I can make use the innovative methodilogies which I learned from this course in my teaching.

These orchestration decisions have critical consequences (the positives will always come with negatives).

1. DFM selection process - the advantage is that you have a set of motivated individuals who have volunteered to serve. These individuals also happen to be exam toppers. The disadvantage: The major disadvantage is that they are still peers - they are not as experienced as the instructors or the TAs who get to interact more frequently with the instructors. Hence, some of the responses may not only be vague, but some of them may also be incorrect. Just because someone has topped the exam does not mean that they can internalize all concepts in a course. (I mean no disrespect to anyone, just stating a point of view).

2. DFM training process is purely through peers. The advantage is that instructors need not be actively involved. While peer learning is important, it is not enough. Nothing can beat the learning from instructors who can set the expectations clear and straight in a brief amount of time. This clarity may be missing from other past DFMs. We must perhaps have both.

3. Weekly plan, feedback and information on forum navigation are also good and must be continued.

4. Live interaction plans are also good and must be continued. No points of improvement from my side.

Hi everyone,
I totally agree and affirm that the orchestration decisions implemented in this course have helped me become engaged to the course more and more. Firstly I would like to appreciate the course team for the fantabulous work being done; whatever elements we have learnt in the course could be seen applied in this LCM course itself, what more could one expect when this course itself is the best example to learn from!

I’m someone who gets doubts more often and get stuck unless it’s cleared. So I used to post my queries in the discussion forum and wait for a response; I used to frequently check my email to see if my query was addressed and responded to. I feel really happy to see my query being answered and get the sense of being connected more to the course and have the feeling that someone is always there at the other end to hear us and help us out with anything related to the course at any point of time.

A big shoutout to the DFMs for their unrelenting work and efforts to respond to each and every post and come up with the best possible solution or feedback to the learners, real quick. For such a tedious job, more number of DFMs are anyway required for sure and I agree to the orchestration decisions of the course team.

Also, there was one instance where I wasn’t completely  satisfied with one of the responses to my query but then was totally surprised to see the same post being considered for discussion in one of the live interactions. I felt really really happy then and felt so connected with the course instructors.

Although I like almost every part of detailed orchestration of the course, I am slightly disappointed with just one thing:
In some MCQs, certain options are considered wrong just because of ‘some term’ being used in the sentence or choice option -it’s appreciable that in-depth understanding of the concepts from the videos or LeDs  is expected from the learners but why should it be considered wrong when the same term has been used in the LeD slides or videos in the same context. So from feedback of such questions as to why that particular option was wrong, I got to understand that we should be clear in every concept word by word too. So later on I started to introspect by watching the videos again and again to see if the options rightly match with the learning content provided. I started listening to the lectures word by word in order to get the implied concept etched in my mind and got confused when the same was being told just the opposite/contradicting in some other video.
For eg: 1)always it was told LBDs as non-graded and elsewhere it was mentioned graded.
2)LxI as Learner Experience Interaction but mentioned as Learning Experience Interaction in LxI-Week4

All these could have been accepted as such if the valuing criteria hadn’t been too strict, was my point.

Dear all,
The discussion forum moderators were always with us. I personally felt like a school child, expecting gold star from their teacher. Whenever I got a response from the DFM’s it felt good and as though I have achieved something great.  Their response during live interaction also answered many of our questions.
It was during the live interactions, that I felt a little bit left out from the course instructors. Though all of our questions were answered by the TA’s , still I would have felt better included as a part of the course if the instructors had answered our questions. I understand the difficulty when a MASSIVE number of participants are in YouTube, but it felt like our favourite hero is right in front of us, but getting autographed photographs instead of a personalised autograph
Kindly look into it

Hello everyone
orchestration decisions taken like forum discussion and google forms circulated at right intervals made a good impact. I am very happy the way all posts are answered, the ones who have answered the focus question completely are appreciated and the ones who can add more for them a question is posed for them to explore their practices and learning and answer. This was very interesting. Best part the discussion was full of sensible discussion realted to the topic.
I liked the idea of google forms for need analysis and also before live sessions so that the sessions are managed well and is beneficial for all. FIrst of all let me tell you I have done MOOCs but no MOOC i attended had live sessions, this itself made us feel important and attached to the learner community and seeing instructors live not just in videos make learning meaningful as doubts got clarified.
The idea of involving the learners as instructors is amazing its again a motivating factor to learning.
Whenever I plan my MOOC am certainly going to use functioning discussion forums and live sessions for sure to know my learners more.
thank you

Dear team members and Sameer Sir,

For self directed learning to transform to self determined learning, I always believe in the 3 Cs - Coaching, Community and Consistency.
I can see all these three Cs in this MOOC.
First of all, the way you guys had involved yourself and kept the learners engages, providing all the required hand-holding and coaching is remarkable.
The orchestration involving the participants of the course, in itself a huge motivation for people like me, to take up the course and complete it not only successfully, but also top the course. (I hope to fulfill the required criteria to be in the team ) This is such brilliant idea to build up a community of like minded passionate and committed people, to work together for a greater good (In this case - create and offer such beautiful courses) The community formed in such a manner, where the bonding is beyond the professional bond, involving higher order emotions like commitment and dedication would by default ensure consistency, and keep each other motivated.

The exercise done for the live interactive sessions is simply superb.  The planning is so much in place.  That's something which comes through precision.
I can actually see the Affective and the psychomotor domains of Bloom's taxonomy in action at all level in this course, needless to talk about the cognitive domain, all the levels of which are so artistically embedded in this course.

As a mentor for the upcoming OE4BW project, I would love to help my mentee include as many elements of the LCM model as possible.  In fact we have already started working on making a team and having DFMs from the toppers of the courses we had offered earlier.  This is a 'must be' included element.

I am so full of gratitude for letting me know ho to connect even when we have never seen our students in person.  This is my take away from the course, expanding it not only to students but also all those people I meet in life.

Best wishes
Kind regards,
Annapurna Madhuri

Hello All,
I think The strategy to implement DFMs who are alumni of this course is really a good idea and its really helpful for the current participants.
All DFM must be working somewhere, but despite their busy schedule, they take out time to reply to posts of participants. They clear all the doubts that participants have. that's plus point of this course.
As the alumni of this course are selected that means they had gone through this course thoroughly, and they really good at it. So, they push the participants is correct direction and guide us where we can get the one thing we need.
Circulating google forms for questions before Live Interaction is a really good strategy as it triggers participants and keeps them engaged in a live session for the whole time.

The orchestration decision of having toppers as moderators of discussion form is good. This is the first MOOC in my life where I felt so engaged and am actually surprised by how much I have actually learned. The social aspect of making feel students valued and having live interactions helped a lot. The Orchestration Dynamics decisions regarding "sharing the document on 'how to navigate the forum'" had really addressed the confusion regarding the DF. Involving the previous course alumni as moderators had been the best orchestration decisions because who would know the participants and their possible difficulties better than them; lastly, the '"floating a google form" to collect queries from learners is the supreme way to establish leaner-connect and I would like to adopt this decision.

The positive impacts of the orchestration decisions :

1. Continued learning

2. Recall and applying what has been learnt previously

3. Live interactions are tailor-made - responding to the questions submitted by the learners and thus can be a very focused session.

 The negative impacts are:

1. The discussion threads become too long.

2. Without a timeline - especially closure - for a discussion thread, it becomes obstructive at times to move onto other topics.

Hi All,
Orchestration surely is very important and have made better impact in my course engagement.
Positive Impact: Learners are made aware of their weak areas through Analytics.
Negative Impact: The Process is very much effort consuming and may leave the instructor with less time for preparing for actual teaching material.

Dear Instructors and DFM,

I had registered in several MOOCs, but this is the first one in which i am about to complete the course. I asked myself many times that "How Its possible?". its only because of "Orchestrations". Hats off to DFMs for continuous support and their efforts to reduce "Isolation Effects in MOOC". Initially Discussion Forum was little bit confusing but  "How to navigate the forum?" helps a lot. Live session were very important and interesting, It provide better learner connect.

I am going to initiate LxI component  in my online courses of March. I will share some "Focus Question" for your valuable inputs.

Hello everyone,
No doubt these orchestration decisions made best impact in course engagement and I only felt the positive impact of this orchestration. Learner Experience Interactions Decision for Inviting course alumni to take part as discussion forum moderators (DFMs) was good orchestration decision, all these alumni were learner previously and they know better where the learner can feel difficulty from their point of view and can assist learners accordingly.
As Anupam madam said that the DFMs and other co-instructors act like seven horses of the Sun who draw the chariot forward with all their might and coactions, A team work grows through interactions and can manage complex tasks and workflows, along with planning, organizing and Time Management. So Training the new team of DFMs for the DFM task by other alumni also good orchestration decision. Sharing a document on "How to navigate the forum?" is very helpful approach which reduce confusion and helpful for new learner, we can add video link also its suggestion  . Further i agree with the statement of Imran Amir Khan sir who described that Floating a Google Form to collect queries from Learners before Live interactions can be an effective way to know the involvement of learners in the course, as well as it will also push the learner who filled the form with their queries to the live interaction session.

Important and interesting queries pointed out by Discussion Forum Moderators, Course TAs & Course Instructors is very interesting part and encourage the learner to take part in further discussion and Categorization these queries during the live interaction. Team and their proper functioning (both in front and behind the screens) using such orchestration decision play vital role for successful completion of any course or interaction session and I subscribe above orchestration decisions. I should thank the entire team of this MOOC for offering really an interesting and learner-centric MOOC.I have learnt a lot.

  Hello Everyone!
I thank the entire team of LCM - MOOC for coming up with this course
My final take away from this course - I now know the importance of  Orchestration Dynamics  and its role in efficient offline and online teaching. The need for providing constant learner support and how to  achieve it on an e-platform was the highlight. "How to design focus question" and the need to predict expected responses for learner feedback after every RS struck me the most. As a learner of this course "the how to navigate DF" and constant support by DFM was very helpful. I would definitely be adopting these learnings in my MOOC.

Respected Mentors and fellow learners,
Firstly, I like to thank the faculty for introducing this course as it really opens up my avenues regarding incorporation of the various components of LCM in MOOCs  as well as routine way of teaching and learning.
Secondly, in respect of orchestration decision I really favour all the components but my most favourable among the all are two and these are the live interaction sessions and the taking of queries through the form before such sessions.
In respect of the DFM I like to say that my ideology is focused on that "the wearer knows where the shoe pinches" so in my course I would like to also involve the members or learners from the current batch of the course. As it will provide me two advantages firstly, their reflection regarding the issues faced by the learners in current batch can be adhered and secondly, it provides impetus to all the learners of the current batch to take active part as every week this opportunity will be given to those who take initiative and active participation in the forum and other activities.
Thanking you

Dear Mentors and Fellow Learners,
Greetings of the day.
At the outset, i thank the instructors who made the course interesting and interactive. I had a good experience on learning this course and taken key insights for professional development.  The LCM model, LeD, LbD, LxT ,  LxI and orchestration are really good for learning.
With respect to orchestration,
discussion forum moderators,  Monitoring learners feedback and their engagement ,
Providing  video contents , if the learners face difficulties. Sometimes videos or image based sources are easier to understand
Further, it would be interesting by conducting hands-on activities and  Video content delivery sharing by the learner.
Good to have such a wonder courses and its deliberations

Good evening,

Happy for those who have received the certificate.

I could score 53.99/75 in external and just 8.42 in assignments.

I have enquired before making payment about my eligibility in external exams, but have not received any response and hence paid the fee to proceed for the exam.

Even though the situation was not good because of covid,we mangened to write our exam.

CAn there be any consideration in the assignment qualification grades because of which I could not get my certificate?

We request you to be polite and considerate to evaluate us. As we do have a busy schedule and commitments because of which we could not attempt exams on time.
Can our certificates be issued on the final grading to benefit those who could score good in external but could not attempt assignments.

Government is doing so much of consideration for promotions, can we expect some consideration on the final score to make us eligible for promotions?

Hope to get some good solution from you,as missing my certificate by 1.5 marks

I would appreciate your response and hope to hear from you soon.
