IITMOD: HOW TO CONNECT TO VPN USING YOUR DESKTOP/LAPTOP

Dear Students,

We are trying to troubleshoot the course portal accessibility issue. We have raised the issue with the concerned team and are earnestly awaiting their inputs. Meanwhile, we would like to suggest the following workaround to enable you to access the portal for the time being  

HOW TO CONNECT TO VPN USING YOUR DESKTOP/LAPTOP:

step 1: open you chrome browser

step 2: search for setupvpn chrome extension or click this link below

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/setupvpn-lifetime-free-vp/oofgbpoabipfcfjapgnbbjjaenockbdp

step 3:click the create account as shown in the screenshot

Step 4: click all the check box as shown in the screenshot

Step 5: copy the code to clipboard by click on it

Step 6: click any country except india

Step 6: try to login to the portal once VPN is set up.

I cannot do the same , The VPN is just getting added to the chrome 

Please share the approach

I am working for a company and using company system to study iit also now.my system is alredy VPN enabled. But i didnt get IIT Portal. If i follow ur guidlines to setup VPN again in my PC, is there is any problem to this?

Hi Akhil,

No it should be fine. You can disable the new VPN once you are done or remove extension if you no longer need it.
