Chirp,

On Thursday I checked my Purple Martin nest box project at Locust Beach. All seems in order, but no Martins were seen.
Friday at Lake Terrell, at least three PUMAs {2 males, 1 female} were seen checking out the nest boxes by the boat ramp.
Phil’s PUMA boxes at Semiahmoo appeared ready for the migrants, but none were seen.

BTW, The recent issue of Taproot magazine {#49} includes an article about Locust Beach and the PUMA project, written by Kaitlyn Teer and illustrated with my photos.
Taproot is available at the Co-op, though I don’t know how long it stays on the shelf.

cheers,   db

They have also returned to Semiahmoo Resort.  Susie and I did not see them at the nest boxes, but we saw and heard two flying along the bay side of Semiahmoo.  Such a welcomed sighting (and sound!).

Best,

John
