Whatcom Falls Park Osprey

My dog decided he didn't want to go our usual way through the cemetery to Whatcom Falls Park and instead he wanted to walk on the trails by the Woburn entrance. Good thing we did as I was able to clearly see one osprey in the nest that sits along the creek. First osprey of the year for me. Good to see that nest is in use again this year.

That’s fantastic!  I’ve been looking for them. There’s a nest walking up from Kentucky to the main trail but it looked abandoned today.

Interesting.  I saw and heard my first of season Osprey flying over Fairhaven today.

We got our osprey back to La Conner today- Sunday. And there is a paiir back at Ship Harbor near the Anacortes ferry.

Thanks for the report Dereck. 

I went this morning and saw a pair of them at the nest mating.
