Osprey at Padden

I counted 5 or 6 ospreys circling Padden yesterday earlier in the day. I got this sequence just before I had to leave. Not great. Lots of blown highlights. But I am happy to have it and hope to improve on it. Headed back shortly and will be there until about 11am if there is any activity.

Interesting. Certainly looks like a Green Heron in a couple of pictures. Especially the one with his neck stretched out. Possibly?

Some 40+ images for osprey fans. I got these at Padden Saturday in the later afternoon. I have seen activity there for the past few weeks. I shot these images sitting near the water just below the tennis courts but also saw activity off the swim beach near the main parking lot on the north side of the lake. Last weekend I saw 6-7 ospreys circling the lake. This Saturday only 2 so activity may be falling.

I am not an expert but assume that the adults have already headed south and we are looking at a few juveniles?

There were two circling over Lake Padden on Sunday but I did not see one hit the water.    One did fly over me so I was able to get this shot.   Nice sequence of the successful fishing.
