The bittern is a juvenile & toxic toadlets, not frogs.

I'm looking at another angle of the bittern and I see thin "white hairs" on the crown.
I believe this would put is as a juvenile. Very cool that they may have successfully bred at Flynn Road Retention pond.

Also, I've been corrected about my "frog" sightings at the pond.  "They are toxic little toadlets. Western toad toadlets leaving the pond for a life in the forest."
