Those who wander ... may find a large flock of Snow Geese. I chanced upon a flock of a couple thousand and watched for an hour and a half.  There was plenty of movement of the flock as Bald Eagles flying by would get them up and other times they would just get up and move to a new area as the fed among the corn stubble in the fields.

Always fun to watch, The noise, the patterns, the background of farm buildings and mountains ...

I'm determined to figure out making short videos. It's a whole different beast compared to photography.  Thanks' in advance as I slowly learn this. The slow shutter speeds, vibrating tripods in wind, huge file sizes, etc. make for some challenges.

As I was leaving a flock of 50+ Western Meadowlarks picked up, went 50 yards and settled down again disappearing into the short green grass. It was the largest flock of these I've seen before.

I would second that. It's wonderful to see your art in action!

I think you have mastered the short form video. Mesmerizing and moving.

Mesmerizing is right.  I could watch and listen for a much longer time than your all-too-short video.  The slow motion is good too---seeing their legs and big feet dangling as they rise, before they tuck them up to fly.  Beautiful day and surroundings too.  I heartily support the idea of you leaning into video while continuing to take these wonderful pictures of our home place and seasonal visitors.  Many thanks!

Kim
