New Heat Pump Rates 
Massachusetts’ electric utilities now offer seasonal heat pump rates designed to reduce winter energy costs for residential customers who heat their homes with electric heat pumps. Non-Essential Town Buildings, with the exception of the North Andover Senior Center, will be closed on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 12 - 2 PM 
Non-Essential Town Buildings, with the exception of the North Andover Senior Center, will be closed on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 12 - 2 PM for an employee event.

- Bowhunting Permit Application Update
Bowhunting permits for Half Mile Hill, Summit, and Sunnyridge will be available online only this year through the Conservation Department.
  • Resident applications open: first full week of October
  • Non-resident applications open: second week of October
Permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applicants must provide:
      • A valid hunting license
      • Photo identification
      • Vehicle registration
No in-person applications will be accepted. All applications must be submitted through the Town’s online permitting system.
Once the online application has been processed, physical permits will be available for pick up at the Conservation Department office in Town Hall, 120 Main Street.

Safety Reminder: Hikers, pet owners, and all members of the public are encouraged to wear blaze orange when using walking trails during hunting season. Pets should be leashed at all times.

- 2025 Recommend Trick or Treat Hours
The recommended hours for trick-or-treating in North Andover are Friday, October 31, 2025 from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

- Holiday Reminder:
Town Buildings, with the exception of Public Safety, will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025.

- Upcoming Trash Schedule
There will be no trash and recycling collection on Monday, October 13, 2025. Collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.

- Curbside Leaf Pick Up: Begins the week of 10/27/25 thru 12/1/25 
Grass Clipping Bags &/or Leaf Bag Pickup is a service provided to the Town by our trash contractor, Republic Services. Republic recovers bags for several weeks in the Fall and Spring. After the pickup dates are completed, all yard waste bags are required to be disposed of at Cyr Center with a valid permit. Please see flyer below. Call 978.685.0950 with any questions. Thank you.

Dates of Curbside Pickup: Start - 10.27.2025 - Ends 12.01.2025 (no pick up the week of Thanksgiving, 11/27/25)

Republic has recommended placing bags curbside the night before or the day of (before 7am) on your normal trash pickup day.

Biodegradable Paper Bags ONLY

Grass clippings and Leaves ONLY – no brush, sticks, rocks, dirt/soil or pumpkins

Biodegradable paper bags are required to be curbside by the week of 12.01.2025 - If bags are not curbside on this week, on your trash day, unfortunately, they will not be recovered

Seasonal Boat Storage at the Hatch Ends November 1, 2025 
All stored boats must be removed by 11/1/25. Any boats remaining will be confiscated and incur a $50 retrieval fee.

Cyr Center will remain open through December 6, 2025 (weather permitting)
