After much thought and discussion with our Town Manager, Deputy Town Manager and our local Board of Health, we believe it is in the best interest and safety of our community to suspend programming at the Senior Center.  It is our goal to resume programming on Monday, January 31, however, the safety of our community will take priority as we make that determination. I know this feels like one more set back that has come our way but I also know we will persevere and get to the other side of this pandemic.  We are in a better place than we were a year ago and it is important to keep everyone’s health and safety our priority.

In the meantime let’s connect!

We want a chance to say hi so come by for a Grab and Go meal!

Each Wednesday at 12pm

January 12, 19 and 26

Drive by (or walk by) and we will come outside and deliver a delicious home cooked meal to you!

Be sure to call and let us know you’re coming so we have enough food. Call us, 978-688-9560.

Also, a reminder to check your January newsletter for information on our evening lectures coming in early February and March on the War of 1812 and the Spanish American War that will be offered through the Zoom platform.  If you need support accessing Zoom please call and we’ll walk you through the process.

AARP offers a variety of programs you can join from the safety of your home.  Check out AARP’s Virtual Community Center at the link below:

The Stevens Library is open for browsing and borrowing, take some time to get caught up on your reading.

Although programming is on hold please remember the building is open. Cahla and I will continue to be in the building everyday to answer your calls and safely meet with you if needed.  The van will continue to run and Meals on Wheels will be delivered.  The next month is a hiccup and we know hiccups eventually subside!

My Warmest Regards,

Kathy

Director of Elder Services Dept
