Directory Registration

I thought it might be useful to share information on the process for creating the directory entries that were suggested for us in the Identity and Marketing section of the 'Looking after Archives' presentation.

So far I have only tried the Norfolk Community Directory and it seems a little cumbersome. I initially had to create a user login and wait for approval, before creating an organisation and again waiting for approval. I think as a next step I have to link a 'service' to the organisation, because it is the services that ares searched for by directory users. Once again I have created a service, but so far 10 days later I am still awaiting approval.

Has anyone else managed to register with this directory? and am I following the correct process?

Thank you for the up date. It is useful to know how you're getting on with it. Can you post on the forum if you've heard back from them. We can always send feedback to the people who look after this within Norfolk County Council.

Hello Jonathan

I have now successfully registered with the Norfolk Community Directory, thanks to lots of assistance from Sarah Salmon at the library.

I will now move on and try some of the others and keep you posted on my progress
