please see below for details of a new training offer from the Oral History Society.

Dear all,

We have several places available on next week’s online GDPR workshop for oral historians. The workshop is aimed at interviewers, archivists, project managers, and anyone who is recording oral history or planning to archive recordings, reuse them for research, or make them accessible.

Date: Wednesday 16 March 2022, 9.45am – 1.30pm (Timezone: London, UK)
Location: Online by Zoom video call
Cost: £30 full price / £20 for members of the Oral History Society or ARA

The workshop includes an overview of data protection legislation relevant to the work of oral historians, guidance on recording agreements and sensitivity reviews, practice scenarios and time for discussion.
