The Community Archives Toolkit has arrived!

Dear all,

We're pleased to announce that the first two sections of our Community Archives Toolkit have been made available online and can be viewed at https://www.archives.norfolk.gov.uk/community-archives. At the moment there are detailed sections on Preservation and Collections Management for Community Archives. These include step-by-step checklists for each procedure plus links to some further reading. 

We have also included surveys in each section where you can let us know your thoughts on the guidance, what you like and what you feel can be improved or added to.

I have also attached some more links to resources, equipment suppliers and further reading to this post, which you can download and use.

We are working on further sections on cataloguing, digitization, oral history and interpretive planning, which we are hoping to put up on the Toolkit website in September.

We hope this will be a good start for you all - please do have a look and let us know what you think!
