Get a free USAC officials license through NCC

Hi all,

For the racing crowd, and non-racing crowd alike:

If you want to become an USAC licensed official, the NEBRA (New England Bike Racing Association) has an incentive program that covers the cost of the license.

You can even officiate one of NCC's three USAC sanctioned events and make that commute real easy.

There's a dwindling number of USAC officials in our region so new faces are welcome!

Thanks for posting this, Ben.  I wrote up an article of what it is like to be an official.  Please check it out if you want to learn what a day looks like being an official.  You do not need any experience, nor do you need to be an active bike racer to become an official.  It is a paid job, and is very rewarding.  As Ben mentioned, there is a critical shortage of race officials in New England. If there are not enough officials, racing cannot happen.  If you are at all interested in bike racing, please consider learning how to become an official. It won't cost you anything.
