Right now the high stuff is surprisingly perfect for xc skiing, actually. Stump Sprouts has amazing snow at the moment.

Current conditions in the higher elevation trail areas (Hawley, DAR) are good for Fat Biking but but not skinny (regular) bikes.  The 4-6” of new snow was packed in yesterday by a crew and skinny tires would make a mess of it 

(right now). After the next thaw/rain/freeze cycle that will likely change. I’d recommend Check the 413 Trail Conditions Strava group for updates. 

As a general rule, if your tire is leaving anything more than faint knob prints it’s best to stay off trails (both snow and dirt) or grab some snow shoes/skis and help pack em in.
