Calling all hoarders of obscure bike shoe parts!
(You know who you are...)

Trying to find one of any of the following buckles:

In case you're thinking, hey, get some new shoes!, this is for French ski mountaineering race boots that use the old Sidi Ultra SL buckle.
A few etailers have a generic version of that design on-line, but figured I'd check here first, especially in case I need to use those boots for a race this weekend.
(After years of tromping around NH Presidentials granite and PNW volcanic scree, I smashed both buckles on unseen tree parts while postholing up to my waist in isothermal snow setting the bootpack portion of this course:  https://nerandorace.blogspot.com/p/race-venue-rasta.html ... on Monday.)

Northampton Bike carried Sidi but couldn't find any Sidi parts when I stopped by today (and current Caliper buckle is incompatible).
Valley Bike had a single Specialized SL (thanks guys!), but unfortunately their other Specialized buckles were the newer SL2:
... which had compatibility issues.

And I know the old Nike design works because I still have those old shoes!
(I tried raiding my wife's shoes, but alas neither her road nor mtn shoes have buckles.)

Success!

First stopped at Hampshire Bicycle Exchange:  "No, we don't keep parts like that, sorry."
What, at a bike shop?  Even I keep bike parts that could possibly come in handy...eventually.
(Okay, fine, I didn't really expect a shop like that to have the right part.  But I happened to be next door at the post office.)

Then Laughing Dog.
"No, we don't have those."
Really?
"Well here's the bin where I keep all that stuff..."
Rummage, rummage, rummage, and, ahah, a whole stash of old Bontrage buckles that work, wuhoo!
