I am searching for a casual gravel route for this Tuesday to capitalize on the warmer weather.
Ideally it would be a route that goes near downtown Northampton (will probably park my car at Northampton Bicycle to see the gang when I am done) and a route that won't break my old body.
I saw the Thursday Gravel Ride route but was thinking something a touch longer than that to make the most of the weather.
Can anyone suggest something like that? Thank you in advance!

Hi, Richard,

The standard local gravel route that I use goes out the rail trail to Williamsburg, past Joe’s Garage.  West on Rte 9 then right on Depot Rd.  The gravel starts there (past Adams Rd), Then Right on Nash Hill, right at the end of it, left on Conway Rd.  Left on the Haydenville Rd, Right on Westport, right on Chestnut Plain, then right up the hill to the Xmas tree farm.  You can go left on the gravel at the corner and follow to Linseed Rd, or stay straight on Rocks Rd out to Rte 5.  If you take Linseed, it goes out to Rte 5, or go Rt on Coles Meadow.  From Coles Meadow you can go out to Rte 5, or turn into Fitzgerald Lake on a small, rocky path that is easy to miss.  You can probably find the loop on my Strava, or on Ride with GPS.  Best,  Joe L.

Thank you Joe for taking the time to describe that route! I was able to plot it in ridewithgps and will check it out (hopefully) on Tuesday!
