So the time has finally come to figure out how you will be spending your Tuesday nights from now until next April. The 2019 HC/TT season has finally come to an end and Nick, Scott and Jonathan are our 2019 podium for both the time trial series and the overall series. Great job guys and everyone else who participated!

Tonight's TT had a cute little twist (in addition to the gentle head breeze). There was a stretch of road that had been freshly milled in Hatfield so we all needed to ride perhaps a bit more judiciously. Great to see both David Marti (who I have raced against in cyclocross 13 times over the past 5 or 6 years and, it was so out of context to see him at a TT that it took me half the time trial to figure out where I knew him from - I think he might live in CT) and Alex tonight. Also, we had an appearance by Colby whose last Tuesday night was the infamous Pelham hillclimb that ended in perhaps the scariest weather conditions we've ever seen. I guess it took him a year and a half to deal with the trauma from that night. One more note, I commented on Brooke's University of Colorado jersey for the second time (my alma mater) and her dad, Kevin, reminded me of this. I'm pretty confident that if she shows up again wearing it I will have completely forgotten about the other two times I commented and tell her yet again that I have one of them too.  I'm certain that my memory is the ONLY thing that is going south now that I'm in my 64th year.

Enough of all that - here's what you really want to see - the results:

Some bullet points:

A) I did not see anyone riding "judiciously" on the milled pavement, myself included.

B) I don't know David Marti, but he blew by me like a disc-wheeled freight train.

C) Alex, get in the drops, dude.  The "soft tissue" will heal, eventually (hopefully).  The twelve seconds you gave up to Roger (who is twice your age) will not.

D) We totally need to see David G in a UC jersey next year

E) Thanks to everyone who came out for this series this year.  Racing against y'all is the hightlight of most of my weeks during the summer.

F) Muchos kudos to David, who has been organizing and running this series for (I don't know how long exactly), I'll say "for more than a decade".

G) See you all again next spring!

As a technical guru/nerd on the board, I want to point out that in addition to David organizing and running the Tuesday series, Jonathan O'Keeffe is the brain behind the complicated Tuesday TT code and statistics on our website since 2007.  Pretty impressive data and statistics that is all home-grown, and entirely written on a volunteer basis- so big thanks to Jonathan also. I know I have used the data many times to try to beat my PR. as well as to check in on my competitors!

Hope to see many of you tomorrow evening at Abandon Building. You don't need to ride the WNR- just show up at about 7:30 for some tasty suds and grub (totally the opposite of what Don is offering?)

Dave.  If you are 64 years old (that is, if you’ve celebrated your 64th birthday), then hare currently in your 65th year.  Am I correct?  Joe
