53.2 miles and 4000 ft of climbing. 9AM Florence Large Recreation Field, 145 Meadow St

Early wind forecast for Sunday looks a bit miserable for anything on open farm roads so we'll head for the hills (route repeat) and hopefully we have a nice group that can share in fighting the ever present and miserable headwinds. Bring layers for the Hilltowns.

Co leaders and sweeps would be greatly appreciated.

This C ride pace will go 17-19mph on the flats in favorable conditions. Ride Avg is always much lower. Everyone climbs at their own pace. The overall climbing on this ride will increase difficulty and significantly lower the completed ride average speed. We will have regroups, pictures, views, snacks, soft pedals, warm ups, cooldowns, and breaks from traffic where we chat. That said, if you're prefer to motor along on the flats at 13-15mph this ride is not the best fit for you. To try and include riders in both categories would allow the gaps between riders to grow beyond 15 minutes. We will always have GAPS, especially on the climbs, but minimizing them (5 minutes or so) helps everyone have a more enjoyable ride. As a C ride we will regroup more often and the last rider to the regroup will always be allowed sufficient time to recover. This years Sunday C rides have been an amazing collaboration of stronger riders slowing down, helping out, and getting us all back home.

Remember only those who have signed the club waiver can join the ride. If you are a current member you have already signed. Club waiver link here: https://form.jotform.com/213646475508058

Please come self sufficient. Water, snacks, flat repair kit, tools, and knowledge to fix your bike or an alternative plan for getting home. Riders tend to assist but please don't rely on it. And remember Load the Route!

Please email with any questions. This is a no drop C  where we'd love to help you go further with a group than you would by yourself. Friendship and camaraderie are a great way to pass the miles.
