On July 4th, at the Palmer Motor Speedway there is a 2.3 mile circuit race. This is an amazing closed course. Licensed racers, previously licensed, then just for fun leave the starting line. It's one hour, plus 1 lap. It's not flat and although some will try to maximum laps, I found myself trying to slow it down so I wouldn't have to climb the hill yet again. The opportunity to ride this course for $20 (early registration ) is something not to be missed. I am not involved in the hosting of this event, but as I've been recently talking to many about it, I figured I'd post it for all to see.

I fully agree with Lynda - this is a super fun race, very low key and pretty affordable. Parking is plenty, and warm up can range from on the track to on the trainer.  I have done it before and it's fun to race in.  Even if/when you get dropped and lapped, it's fun keeping up (as long as I can) with the racers whizzing by.  Where else do you get to pedal as hard as you can on a traffic free venue for an hour in the morning?  :)

Hope to see plenty of you there,

Rodney
