Saturday's unseasonably warm temperatures simply demand going for a
ride - it will already be in the mid-50's at dawn and hit 70 in the
afternoon.
I'd guess many have plans in the works, but my own plan is to ride a
variation of a standard Saturday C route around the south side of
Mount Holyoke, past the Aldrich Mills, over the far end of the ridge
on newly repaved Harris Mountain Road, and then optionally north past
Cushman's Market up into Sunderland and back either via Mount Warner
or simply staying on 47.
Overall the route is 44 miles and 1800 feet, but those looking for
something shorter can decide in the moment to cut it to 30 miles and
1000 feet by taking the rail trail home to cut off the northern loop
into Sunderland.

This is "not quite" the formal NCC Satuday C ride, and so will have
the following changes:
1) We'll be meeting at the parking at Damon Road on the Northampton
side of the bridge, since it better fits the route and parking there
is free. The route still shows Pulaski Park, but we will NOT be
meeting there but instead at Damon Road,
2) Starting time will be 9:30 am to better suit anyone riding to the
meeting point.
3) I'd really appreciate a note if you're planning to attend, doubly
so if you'd like to join the ride along the way - this time of year
it's tempting to modify plans, so knowing who is in is key to not
missing a planned meeting.
4) Likely a lmore relaxed pace than the Saturday C has when we're in
peak summer condition
Hope to see you on Saturday - or if not, that you're heading out to
enjoy your own ride plan!
