Upcoming races in Gill

There are 2 races coming up in the next two weeks in Gill - Dynamic Duo this Sunday (9/2/18) and the Battle at Great Falls on Wednesday September 12th. These races are run by Cy Attica and I've been a faithful supporter and participant in his races for years. However, I will not be attending either of them and here is why. 

Back on August 7th, he posted this on Facebook:

"Some jackwad in a NCC jersey showing zero clue just had a run in with Kristen on the bike path. Older guy thats all she got - she was walking the two dogs he came up from behind and no warning just an attitude and rude."

This prompted a lot of comments that were of a Trumpian nature bashing first, NCC, and eventually me, when I objected to this type of blaming and characterization of everyone at NCC based on the actions of one person. Harder still were comments from people that I considered my friends. 

Folks should of course feel free to make their own decisions, however,I feel that I can no longer support him. Not showing up is how I'm choosing to express my intolerance for these types of rude comments.

Announcing yourself on the bike path is a whole 'nuther discussion. I very rarely do it because 99% of the time they turn left right into my path. I just slow down until there's room to pass. If that makes me a jackwad, so be it. My safety is more important than cordiality. 

I have no idea if I am the jackwad being referred to here.
