Needing to get in some last minute, quad-building miles before next weekend's
Massochistah! ? or just je ne sais quads?
This Sunday's edition will lead us over another 40 very hilly miles of dirt and gravel. from Bernardston Elementary School (10am depart) to Halifax with 4300 feet of climbing that begins at the go. Just be aware-- the first descent down fox hill has a bit of washboard
nibbles and water are later in the ride at Pine Hill Orchard, carry snacks as necessary. The route passes Sweet Lucy's right at the beginning as an additional sugar option for some sweet treats If you've traveled up I-91, you will pass it on the way to the start.
This is a social paced, no drop ride with regroups at top of climbs and questionable intersections. A gravel bike with low gears is recommended. Most of the dirt roads are nice hard pack, but the climbs will get your attention.
Ride departs at 10:00 AM from Bernardston Elementary School in Bernardston. Plenty of parking is available.
