I am reluctantly parting with my TT bike. My neck and shoulders simply can't handle the position any more, even after updating to more adjustable bars in 2016. I figured I'd offer it here to my NCC peeps before diving into the muck that is Ebay and pinkbike.
First things first, I'm asking $1000 firm. This is on the ultra-low end of what you'd find anywhere else, but it saves me any selling fees and getting the pike packaged and shipped.
As far as fit goes, I'm 5'9 with average proportions and it used to fit perfectly before my neck and shoulders got too tight. Probably fit anyone from 5'8-5'11 but might stretch either side of that depending on physique and preference.
The bike is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, though it does have little superficial scratches as might be expected on a bike this age. The steerer is either uncut or very close to it. In 2016 the entire front end and drive train was cleaned and overhauled at the shop and I've only ridden it maybe 200 miles since then.
Originally the bike was a 2006 owned by a friend of mine when I lived in Florida. He trained very heavily for triathlon. In 2009 he got a warranty replacement frame and sold it to me late in that year after replacing the stem, cassette, chain, bottom bracket, wheels, rear brakes, seat and aerobars. I've put about 1200 miles on it in TTs and warmups and cooldowns along with the very occasional pre-race day training ride. The drive train (minus cassette and chain), front brake caliper, base handlebars, and brake levers are the only "original" parts from the 2006 bike and while they all function great, they do have a load of miles on them.
Here's the list of components:
Wheels: Shimano R500
Derailleurs, Crankset, front brake caliper: Dura Ace 7800
Bottom Bracket, Cassette, Rear Brake: Ultegra 10 speed
Shifters: Shimano TT
Brake levers: Vision
Stem: Specialized
Seatpost: Cervelo P3
Seat: Selle SMP Glider (love this seat for TT position)
Aerobars: Profile Design T2+ carbon
I am not including the pedals, though I'll slap some flat pedals on there for a test ride if needed. However, I am going to include a 2003 Zipp 404 tubular front wheel (not one of the recalled ones) since I won't use it.
Note: I still have the Profile Design Sonic CSX aerobars which were on there from the time I got it until 2016. If you'd prefer those instead of the T2+ that are on there now, you can have them instead, though you'll need to be responsible for installing and cabling them after I take the T2+ off and buy the bike.
I think that's about it. You can post questions here or email me directly at eparrot1 at yahoo dot com
