Hello everyone,

The Friends of Southampton Greenway is looking for volunteer members interested in working towards developing a walking & cycling path in Southampton, connecting it to trail networks. One of their members asked me to share their call for volunteers, which you can find in the attached flyer.

Help Grow our Trail Network

Do you love our local rail trail network? Imagine extending it another 3.1 miles south through Southampton toward Westfield.

The Friends of Southampton Greenway is looking for volunteers to help bring a 3.1-mile paved trail to Southampton, MA, a missing link in a regional rail trail network stretching from Northampton to New Haven. The trail will be open to walkers, runners, cyclists, and people of all abilities and activities.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Trail events & guided walks/rides

• Community outreach & tabling

• Fundraising

• Social media & communications

• Trail stewardship (once built!)

No experience or Southampton residency necessary, just enthusiasm for trails and community.
