Just stumbled across a great early spring ride on BikeReg & FB. Two distances - 35M & 75M - both starting at 9am in Amherst, hosted by the Mass Bike Racing Team. From the FB page: "this is an organized ride on the scenic roads of Western Massachusetts (throwback to the old Mass Cycling Club group rides anyone?) Both the short route (35 miles) and the long route (75 miles) will include a stop at the Williamsburg General Store for one of their delicious "grapples" (a heavenly apple pie wrap synonymous with cycling)". BikeReg also added, "there might be a towline sprint or two", so you SMR'ers will be right at home. :) A great low key/low cost ($30) event for anyone looking for a long weekend ride, someone not doing the Quabbin Race the day before, so even some of you road kinds and queens who want to quick turn from Quabbin 24 hours earlier. https://www.bikereg.com/wrapple-wride and https://www.facebook.com/events/731213293705094/. Hope to see some of ya'll there!
