Thanks for a great ride report, it brought back memories. While I ride that loop frequently I only did the TNR a couple of times after the new pavement in 2019. On those occasions I'd take a cue from Don Frank's TNR strategy and ride up about 15 minutes before the group and wait for everyone at the 116 junction. For me the 4.5ish miles from there to Conway is always a lot of fun even when riding solo, but in a fast group it is really exhilarating. And while my best TNR time for that stretch was just a tad slower than what you guys did, what your report did was bring back the amazing sense of what it is like to ride in one of those fast bubbles. Looking forward to that experience again.
