Purpose

This group was created to get input from Early Child Care
Professionals, policy makers, care givers, and interested community
members to consider the kinds of metrics that are and/or could be used
to measure outcomes in the goal to "Improve child learning outcomes,
especially literacy and math; achievement gap is narrowed between
children at risk for school failure and their peers." (RTT proposal)

The Race to the Top proposal also identified 4 long arm outcomes and 4
intermediate outcomes? Are our early childhood programs aligned to
promote these outcomes? Do your program outcomes match up with those
in RTT? What is it you are looking for? What information/data/
metrics do you use for accountability? Your response can help inform
a larger project that is focused on gathering metrics that can
promote, support, and help evaluate collaborations.
