NJCCPS Election Announcement for 2023~2024 (Ming Luo)

Dear NJCCPS Members,

As previously announced on April 17 2023 with regard to our Annual Election for 2023~2024, we closed the nomination window on May 15,2023. Ming Luo is the sole nominated and qualified candidate. Per NJCCPS by law, we are very pleased to announce that effective June 1,2023, Ming will be leading NJCCPS for the new term between June 1,2023 and May 31,2024.

Warmest congratulations to Ming and his team for their continuing service at NJCCPS on behalf of NJCCPS Board of Directors and the Election Committee!! We are confident that under Ming's leadership team, NJCCPS will thrive for another successful year and beyond. In past 30 years, we are so excited to have supported our members and local community. With pandemic behind us, let's meet in person. We will see you in our  conference tomorrow (5/27/2023, Saturday) Please register yourself

Thanks to Min Luo and other officer’s great efforts. NJCCPS overcame the hardship of COVID-19 and successfully held annual conference and many other events over the last couple of years.

 

After the discussion with senior members (including board and officers, this year’s election will be administered by the NJCCPS Nominating Committee as specified in the Society Bylaws. Similar to last year, we will handle the election process electronically via web as it is more convenient for many members.  Sorry for the long delay! We are finally back to normal!!!

 

Election rules are as follows:

 

1) Only current voting members in good standing with at least one (1) year of membership and who actively participates in NJCCPS' activities are qualified to be candidates for the President.

 

2) Members who wish to be considered for candidacy should notify the Nominating Committee no later than May 15, 2023. Notification given after the deadline will not be accepted for consideration. All candidates are requested to submit a brief bio and election statement at the time of notification. 

 

3) The Nominating Committee shall present all qualified candidates to the NJCCPS members by May 16, 2023.  Based on our Bylaws, all voting members with at least four (4) months of membership are qualified to vote in the presidential election. All qualified members shall cast their vote prior to May 31, 2023. The candidate who receives the highest number of votes shall be the next President.

 

4) The term for the newly elected President is from June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.

 

5) All Presidential candidates shall be excluded from the Nominating Committee.
