Introducing the NYRC Club-Wide Scholarship Program

Dear NYRC Members,
We're excited to share that the Board has unanimously approved the creation and adoption of the NYRC Club-Wide Scholarship Program, effective as of September 9, 2025. The program will officially roll out for Spring 2026.
This policy reflects NYRC's commitment to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent anyone from participating in the sport. The program provides financial support for club dues and/or CIPP registration to eligible players across the men's, womxn's, and youth teams who are experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship program is designed to:
- Alleviate financial stress for members in need
- Support players' growth, development, and contributions to the team and broader community
- Promote equitable access to rugby for all players
Scholarships will be awarded each season (Spring, Summer, and Fall) based on financial need, commitment to the club, and available funding. All applications will be kept strictly confidential.
To be considered for scholarship funding, players must complete the Scholarship Application and submit it to our dedicated scholarship inbox: schol...@newyorkrugby.com. We are attaching the Scholarship Application form so members can review what information will be requested. Please note that applications are not currently being accepted. Application periods and deadlines will be communicated by the Club Secretary ahead of each season, along with reminders of program details and instructions.
Important:
- Applications will only be accepted and reviewed during specific submission periods before each season.
- There is no rolling submission process. Applications submitted outside of the stated time will not be reviewed or considered for scholarship funding.

We are accepting donations to help fund the scholarship program.
