NecronomiCon-Providence, the biennial international conference on the Weird in Literature, Arts, and Scholarship announces Librarians’ Day, Thursday, August 13, 2026. This full day of programming is intended for library professionals and designed by your colleagues to provide an overview of the field, and specific, nuts-and bolts-guidance on curating weird fiction, graphic novels, film, and gaming: identifying releases and reviews, cataloging, merchandising, promotions, age and content considerations, and year-round programming. After a break for lunch (attendees can take advantage of many options for fine cuisine in beautiful downtown Providence) there will be an afternoon of breakout sessions followed by an exclusive visit to the Grand Emporium of the Weird where some 70 vendors, including many authors and publishers, will be eager to assist with purchase orders or invoices, and a visit the Weird Providence bookstore. Afterwards, all are invited to stay for the convention’s Welcoming Ceremony at the historic First Baptist Church, Art Opening at AS220, Block Party at The Red Door, and more. In addition to library professionals, the program will feature authors, publishers, gaming professionals
