Hello,

Just a reminder the Early Bird registration is open for the ARSL Conference.

Early Bird registration will be available through the beginning of July, and I know some of you will need to wait until your new fiscal year before you can register.

This is my cautionary note... with gas prices and travel prices going up, you may want to consider booking your plane travels if you are planning on attending, if you can.

We just had our ARSL Board Strategic Planning meeting in Montgomery last week, so I have some travel observations.

Atlanta is a two hour drive from Montgomery, which makes it a viable option if you would like to consider sharing rental cars with people you know. My experience is that costs all come out in the wash, and whether it is a cheaper flight but then rental car and gas, or if it is a flight to Montgomery, you do have some viable options. As always, I encourage sharing rides as much as possible, the more people the better.

There is no way to predict if prices will ever go down, and if they do, when, but hopefully we will have a strong turnout of awesome New England library people at the conference.

The conference committee is working with Whova to hopefully open the app for this conference earlier, where ridesharing signups will be one of the features. I'll be sure to send a follow up email once that is released.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I am here to help.

Sincerely,
Amy Stone
