Hi, Alan.

Dave Mingori suggested I reach out to you regarding EMT services at upcoming CX and MTB races this fall.  My daughter Haley is a nationally certified and locally licensed (MA / NY) EMT interested in providing EMT services at races this fall/winter. She has her own set of professional gear, so nothing needs to be provided by race organizers.  Would it be possible for you to socialize her availability to any race directors you're working with for upcoming CX (or other) races through November?  Her email address is cc'ed.

Note: She does not provide any transport services, but as I understand it, most races do not have an ambulance onsite throughout the races.

Regards,

An EMT outside a regular EMS agency is prohibited from providing paid medical services as an independent provider. Their license to practice would be at risk.

Anyone providing medical services (like Mike Baril) does so as as a basic first aid responder. EMTs can only act under the supervision of a medical director (usually assigned to an agency by a hospital)  and as part of an EMS agency per the NTSB.
The EMT should know and understand this.
