Do you harvest some of your ETDs into ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global? If so, do you check to confirm that each paper has been harvested? My understanding is ProQuest delivers a report to you of what has been harvested. Do you review this report, or simply trust that the correct ETDS are being harvested?

We are exploring harvesting. I'm trying to determine how it would impact my workload.

Thank you,

Hi Jason,

Our repository automatically shares all dissertation PDFs, their metadata (including embargo period, if any), and supplementary files with ProQuest. Student authors consent to this when they deposit their work. We do not check to confirm that the dissertations are there, nor do we get a report from ProQuest. (Note: all the above is true only for dissertations, not theses.)

Best,

Jody
