Recruitment has begun for a brand new position in the University of Virginia Library’s Scholarly Communications Services Team: Open Scholarship Librarian.  

This position is accountable for developing and implementing a comprehensive, proactive outreach program to University members on open scholarship services, which includes the Libra repository, the Open Access Institutional Repository and the Library’s Open Press, Aperio publishing platform.  This outreach program will encompass support for University community members to meet federal grant policies, including the policies outlined in the 2022 Nelson memo which go into effect at the end of 2025.  Additionally, the Open Scholarship Librarian will seek opportunities to expand the reach and use of Libra beyond traditional self-deposited content.
