EXP and LaTeX

A student recently asked about something that I know little to nothing about. I'm hoping someone here could assist me.

The student asked about writing her dissertation in EXP, then saving the file as a LaTeX file, and then placing it in our existing LaTeX dissertation template, which can be found here:

Can anyone offer any advice and/or guidance?
