I write on behalf of the Notre Dame Technology Ethics Center (ND TEC) to invite you to join the Center as a Graduate Student/Post-Doc Affiliate. The purpose of the program is to provide interested graduate students and postdocs with interdisciplinary training in technology ethics. ND TEC Graduate Affiliates will meet bi-monthly to provide professional development opportunities to PhD and Law students who might have an interest in becoming involved in research, policymaking, advocacy, and in developing interdisciplinary competencies in technology ethics by reading and discussing seminal papers in technology ethics. You also will have an opportunity to interact with ND TEC affiliated faculty and learn more about their research portfolios.
The goal is to be engaged with the tech ethics scholarship across disciplines without being onerous given your other studies! We will also have dinner at each meeting.
If you are interested in becoming an Affiliate or learning more, please respond to me via this email. We plan to have our first meeting on Wednesday, October 27 at 5pm in 205 O'Shaughnessy Hall. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
