Chrisoula Andreou is one of the leading contemporary philosophers of rational choice. Choosing Well builds upon her influential articles and book chapters over the last two decades (ix-x). On a standard model of rational preferences (for short, the “classical model”), formal criteria of completeness and transitivity are both necessary and sufficient for rationality.
