Summer Professional Development Courses for       Graduate Students

ND Summer Sessions offers a suite of for-credit graduate courses taught by Notre Dame faculty. These courses are eligible for Tuition Scholarships from the Graduate School and since some are taught completely online, students may take them from anywhere in the world with a reliable internet connection. To enroll, graduate students should follow the procedures outlined by the Graduate School. 


Online course offerings include:

  • GRED 60010 - Academic Career Preparation
  • GRED 60011 - Inclusive Teaching
  • GRED 60012 - Effective Online Pedagogy
  • GRED 60615 - Teaching (with) Writing

Integrative & Engaged Learning with ePortfolios

Are you interested in using electronic portfolios (ePortfolios) to engage your students? Join us for this demo and hands-on workshop on Canvas’ free ePortfolio tool. You will walk away with best teaching practices, assignment examples, and template design principles to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.

Teaching for Social Justice

Participants in this workshop will discuss strategies for effectively applying social justice practices to college-level teaching. We will practice example techniques that can be used in a variety of courses and will consider how education can be used to generate positive social change.
