Call for Entries -- in 2022-edition of Virtual Talk Series

Dear Colleagues, 

In next year's new edition of Virtual Talk Series, we have scheduled two special events: 
(1) Panel discussion on April 21, UTC 13:00
(2) PhD forum on July 21, UTC 13:00
This email calls for your participation as a presenter in these events. 
Details are found below.

(1) Panel discussion (UTC 13:00, April 21, 2022)
(1.1) Topic: Tools for DES
(1.2) Aim: Given many available tools for DES developed in different groups, we aim to gather a subset and moderate discussions among the developers as well as the audience. 
(1.3) Format: (a) Each panelist gives a short (<=10min) introduction of their tool. (b) Round-table discussion on a set of related issues (~30min).
(1.4) Number of panelists: Max. 6 (due to time constraint) 
(1.5) How to participate as a panelist: Reply to this email with the following information: (a) Your name and affiliation. (b) Tool name and website (if available). 
(1.6) Deadline: Open until filled. First come first serve.

(2) PhD forum (UTC 13:00, July 21, 2022)
(2.1) Topic: Any topic related to DES
(2.2) Aim: Provide a venue for PhD students to present their work and mingle with peers. 
(2.3) Format: Each PhD participant gives a ~20min presentation on their ongoing work, followed by discussions.
(2.4) Number of presenters: Max. 4 (due to time constraint)
(2.5) How to participate as a presenter: Reply to this email with the following information: (a) Your name and affiliation. (b) Topic and related publications (if available). 
If you are a student, please have consent from your supervisor and then reply to me. If you are a supervisor, please encourage your PhD student to reply to me.
(2.6) Deadline: Open until filled. First come first serve.

Dear Colleagues, 

The (max) 6 entries for the April event Panel Discussion (UTC 13:00, April 21, 2022) have now been filled. 

Due to time limit, we no longer accept further entries for April. 
But if you wish to participate in future such events on this topic (Tools), please still write to me and if there are much interest we will consider organize such an event again later in 2022. 

Call-for-entry of the July event PhD Forum (UTC 13:00, July 21, 2022) is still open.
