Dear NCEAS community,
Apologies for the late notice! Our February 19 roundtable will feature Dr. Gretchen LeBuhn, a Professor of Biology at San Francisco State University and a visiting scientist at NCEAS.
Dr. LeBuhn will speak about her work with
The Great Sunflower Project, the largest citizen science project focused on pollinators, with over 100,000 members. All over the country citizen scientists are collecting data on pollinators in their yards, gardens, schools and parks by taking counts of the number and types of pollinators visiting plants. We have been gathering information on pollinator service since 2008, and now have the largest single body of information about bee pollinator service in North America. Part of Gretchen's work at NCEAS this year involves developing new ways to analyze this amazing dataset.
Please join us for the Roundtable, in person in the NCEAS Lounge or online:
Wednesday, February 19 at Noon Pacific Time
NCEAS Lounge
Thanks, Marty
