Our speaker this month is Jeremy Jacobs, and his talk is titled "Think like a journalist! Understanding the news cycle, how journalists work, and how to prepare for an interview"
Jeremy is a veteran of the media and journalism world, having worked more than 15 years as a reporter primarily covering environmental issues. In this seminar, he'll discuss how to track the news cycle as it continues to evolve, and why that's important no matter what field you are in. He'll also talk about what journalists are looking for from academics and researchers, what he views as the most newsworthy environmental topics right now, and how to prepare for interviews.
