Our speaker this month is Raymond Czaja with a talk titled "Climate change impacts on pre- and post-settlement processes: insights on the declining Atlantic surfclam, Spisula solidissima solidissima, fishery"
Ray Czaja recently began his postdoctoral position at NCEAS as part of the Gulf Ecosystem Initiative. Ray’s independent project will focus on predicting the abundance and distribution of commercially important zooplankton and ichthyoplankton in the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to NCEAS, Ray received his doctoral degree at Stony Brook University, where he researched climate change effects on bivalve fisheries.
