Zdravím a po nějaké době přeposílám informaci o zajímavé akci v Polsku,
která se uskuteční na přelomu června a července 2020. Týká se to
statistické analýzy hydrologických extrémů, tak doufám, že to někoho
zaujme. Iwona mi slíbila, že pokud bude zájem o speciální číslo
impaktovaného časopisu a sejde se dostatečné množství příspěvků, bude
vybrán buď časopis Acta Geophysica nebo Hydrological Sciences Journal.

Dear Colleagues,

Please accept a small reminder and update about the special
session at IAHR 2020 Congress.

The 6th IAHR Europe Congress Hydro-Environment Research and
Engineering - No Frames, no Borders will be held in Warsaw,
Poland, on 30.06-02.07.2020 (https://iahr2020.syskonf.pl/).


*I would like to invite you to the special session on
‘Statistical modelling of hydrological extremes’, which is
already noted as FS4*
(https://iahr2020.pl/approved-special-sessions/ ).
This subject is wide and includes both uni- and multivariate
extreme value theory, copulas, Bayesian theory, etc. It can
unite past hydrological information for the sake of contemporary
hydrology within the context of climatic changes (but not only).
The subject cover also the study of compound events.

I would be appreciated if you accepted my invitation. I am
looking forward to receiving your contribution, then I will be
informing about the progress in organizing above session.
