Free correlative course in light microscopy and micromechanics

Short description:  The course will briefly introduce the important aspects of biomechanics in biology from engineering perspective and relate these mechanical characteristics to the biological structures that can be visualized in label-free. The course will be highly practical and the groups of four will rotate through different sessions, for instance, AFM microscopy, puncture or compression indentation with confocal reflectance microscopy or biaxial tensile test with SHG microscopy. We will also try to deliver the data analysis part with practical hands-on. In addition to that we will host experts in a relatively novel technique of Brillouin microscopy.

 

All those who want to extend their knowledge in advanced, label-free microscopy or biomechanical testing are warmly welcomed. The course will be delivered by experts from CTUV, CEITEC or IPHYS CAS as well as from the leading company experts such as Bruker, Zeiss or CellSense.
