Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming EMBO Practical Course "Super-resolution in Light Microscopy,"

taking place from June 15–22, 2025, Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IMG) in Prague.

This 8-day course combines theoretical talks, lectures from leading experts in the field, and practical demonstrations with hands-on sessions using advanced microscopy systems.

Following the introductory day, the course is structured into three thematic 2-day blocks:

1. Confocal-based super-resolution (optical/mathematical reassignment, adaptive deconvolution, and radial fluctuations)

2. Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM)

3. Nanoscopy techniques (Single-Molecule Localization Microscopy – SMLM, and Stimulated Emission Depletion microscopy – STED)

The last day is focused on deconvolution of SR images and QC approaches.

We have gathered an outstanding group of international experts for the course, who will deliver lectures and keynotes and participate actively in practical demonstrations. Leading microscopy companies will provide their latest super-resolution systems, and application specialists will guide dedicated hands-on sessions.

The course is ideally suited for biologists, microscopy facility staff, and imaging specialists who wish to enhance their practical expertise and remain at the forefront of microscopy innovations.

The registration deadline is April 14, 2025.

The course is offered in a hybrid format: 20 in-person seats and 25 virtual participant slots are available.
